Diversity is an underlying theme to this multi-signed baseball, with well-traveled endorsers having played in the 1910s through 1930s. With obscure players hailing from points as widespread as Alberta, Canada, Jersey City, New Jersey and Paris, France, marquee names such as Ruth, Gehrig, Wagner and Cochrane complete a worthwhile effort on the part of whoever was patient enough to gather these scriptings. The medium is a lightly toned OAL Harridge sphere (grade 6) whose prominent trademark stampings date to 1926-1933. The (19) black- or blue-ink fountain pen signatures, meanwhile vary in terms of quality, with only a few affected by surface abrasions. Includes: Sweet Spot George Earnshaw (7); North Panel Honus Wagner (8), Red Rolfe (8), Mickey Cochrane (6) and Gus Getz (7); South Panel Don Brennan (5-6), Jim Weaver (6), Lou Gehrig (6), Vince Barton (5-6) and Bert Daniels (7); West Panel Hank Thormahlen (3-4), Babe Ruth (5-6) and (2) unidentified; East Panel Al Mamaux (7), John Broaca (4), Paul Krichell (6), unidentified and Buck Herzog (4).
