Description

An anti-climactic Fall Classic if there ever was one, the 1951 edition was a mere formality following Bobby Thomson’s dramatic walk-off exploits to set up the showdown. Nevertheless, the series played on and these (4) programs were issued. Cover/pages are intact throughout and the scoring grids have been marked. The guides present nicely and include: Game 1 Yankee Stadium; Game 2 Yankee Stadium; signed by (5) with Durocher and Feeney; Game 4 Polo Grounds; Game 5 Polo Grounds. More on our website.

Game 2 this program was issued at Yankee Stadium and has been signed on the appropriate likenesses (average “8” strength) by: Brannick (Giants Secretary); Durocher (Giants manager); Feeney (Giants Vice President); Fitzsimmons (Giants coach); and Stoneham (Giants President).

Game 4 signed on front cover by former umpire Larry Goetz (who did not work that World Series)
