Description

John L. Sullivan was the face of prizefighting during the monumental shift from bare-knuckle to gloved boxing. Coming out of an era as the Heavyweight champion in bare-knuckle, he quickly regained superiority with the addition of gloves. Graded NM 7 by PSA, this blank backed 1887 N174 Prizefighter tobacco card is of the desirable Gypsy Queen brand. Pictured in his iconic top hat pose, the card presents with magnificent clarity and nearly perfect centering. This specimen has reached the pinnacle of any third party grading company, being the highest graded with none better - POPULATION ONE!.
