Baseball historians will enjoy this vintage lot of (22) 1930s-50s publications which are loaded with facts, figures and photos. Highlights are (7) issues of Baseball Magazine, a 1937 Rawlings Baseball Record Book and (2) Spalding guidebooks. All included publications present in above average condition with solid original details and are marginally affected by light to moderate wear including minor pen/pencil marks and age appropriate spine splits/cracks. They are complete and intact with deference to an Oct. 1949 issue of Baseball Magazine which has a detached and separated cover.

Feb, 1949, solid with minor pencil marks and small spine split
Sept, 1949, solid clean cover with minor spine wear and small pencil mark
Oct, 1949, detached and separated cover with grease pencil marks

(2) Spalding guidebooks including 1935 “How to Play Baseball” with minor paper loss at top right edge and “Knotty Problems of Baseball” with vertical cover crease, moderate peripheral wear and pencil marks on first page

1937 Rawlings “Baseball Record Book”, solid with clean pages and creasing at lower left corner of cover and pages, pen marks on back cover

(2) “Official Baseball Rules” from 1947 with multiple cover creases and clean supple pages and 1948 in better grade with creases on right edge of cover

(2) “Famous Slugger” year books from 1945 and 1954 by H&B, both very attractive with only light traces of wear

(2) Phillies Cigars 1959 handbook prepared by Sports Illustrated titled “Big League Secrets” and “The 1959 Baseball Story”, both very appealing with light corner/edge wear

(2) 1939 Baseball Centennial/100th Anniversary softcover books titled “ 100th Anniversary Edition” by Whitman Publishing, minor paper loss at bottom of spine and general interior spine weakness on first several pages and “Blue Book Centennial Edition” by Heilbroner Baseball Bureau of Ft. Wayne, glossy cover with light creases, corner chips and oxidation on staples

1954 ”World’s Series Records” by The Sporting News (published by C.C. Spink and Son), solid appealing cover with very light soiling, clean interior pages

1949 “Major League Baseball” with Bob Feller cover, above average with 3” section of surface paper loss on front cover

1952 “For the Book All-Time Baseball Records” by Leonard Gettelson, moderate cover wear including stains, soiling and light creases, clean interior pages

1942 “The Little Red Book of Baseball”, moderate cover wear with soiling and pencil marks on spine, bright white pages
