Not only did the 1914 "Miracle Braves" go from "worst to first" in the span of two months, the National League champions also swept their way past the heavily favored Philadelphia Athletics to claim the World Series. Presented is a Game 2 stadium scorecard from the contest at Shibe Park, a 1-0 shutout. The neatly pencil marked collectible confirms the memorable conquest of (Seattle) Bill James over Hall of Fame hurler Eddie Plank. Moderate creasing and peripheral notching does not seriously affect the 98 year-old artifact which also confirms Hall of Famers Baker, Bender, Collins, Evers and Maranville as members of their respective squads. The cover displays pictures of "The Big Four": baseball experts Baker, Evers, Mathewson and Alexander.
