The last skipper to guide the Pittsburgh Pirates to a winning campaign (1992), renowned strategist Jim Leyland wore this bullpen jacket during the 1993 campaign. The black nylon full-length zippered garment features a team logo sewn to the left breast, two front pockets and a hood. "PIRATES" is arched atop the back in yellow twill with a white embroidered outline. Within the collar, an “Apex One” label is accompanied by a size “M” tag, a laundering instructions tag and a black marker notation of Leyland’s number “10.” Light wear is evident. Also included are lineup cards from that year’s September 30 home finale against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Pirates’ original card is signed by Leyland and the Phillies carbon copy has Jim Fregosi’s signature. There were discovered in one of the pockets.
