Five years removed from the infamous “Called Shot,” the Yankees and Cubs met once again in the 1938 Fall Classic. And while Ruth wasn’t there to torment the North Siders, stars like DiMaggio, Dickey, Gehrig and Ruffing were, authoring yet another sweep of the Cubs while out-scoring them by an aggregate 22-9 count. Encapsulated and Graded VG 3 by PSA, this full ticket was issued at Wrigley Field for the opener of that lopsided showdown. With printed seating and event details, this crisp voucher is the lone example at its tier with only one graded higher. While areas of paper loss on the front and reverse account for the technical assessment, appealing attributes include razor sharp edges and corners.
