Pete Rose items:
1985 Gartlan statue sculpted by Hal Reed commemorating Rose breaking Cobb’s all-time career hit record. This is #1153 of an LE of 4192. It depicts Rose at the plate in his trademark crouch stance. The signature applied in black felt tip pen displays (“9”) strength and appears on a raised plate which is attached to the base. This statue stands 6” high on a 4x6 base and comes complete with its original box and a COA issued by Gartlan. Also included is a handsome glass display case which measures 6x8x9.
1985 Gartlan plate featuring artwork by Ted Sizemore. This plate is #3419 of an LE 4192 commemorating Rose breaking Cobb’s all-time career hit record. It is signed in silver felt tip pen and displays an elegant (“9”) quality. This plate has a 10” diameter and features a portrait of Rose along with a portrait of Cobb in the background above a scoreboard which reads “Rose breaks Cobb’s career hit record 4192”. It comes housed in a very handsome wooden homeplate shaped display case which measures 16x10 and is 1-1/2” deep.
Framed Chicago Cubs program from the September, 1985 game in which Rose tied Cobb’s all-time career hit record. This program features a photo of Ryne Sandberg on the cover and is housed in a like new 9x12 black frame. Rose’s signature was applied in blue felt tip pen and presents a bold (“9”) strength. No third party authentication comes with this item.
Johnny Bench items:
1989 Gartlan statue #174 of an LE of 1989 commemorating Bench’s induction into the Hall of Fame in 1989. This statue stands 8” tall on a 4” x 4-1/2” base and depicts Bench in action tracking a pop-up. The signature presents a fine (“8-9”) quality and appears on a raised plate which is attached to the base. This piece is accompanied by its original box and a COA issued by Gartlan. Also included in a nice glass display case which measures 6x8x11.
Gartlan plate #208 of an LE of 1989 commemorating Bench’s induction into the Hall of Fame in 1989. This plate has a 10” diameter and features the artwork of Michael Taylor. Bench’s signature has been beautifully applied in gold felt tip pen and presents a graceful (“9”) quality. The plate is housed in a handsome homeplate shaped wooden display case which measures 16x13 and is 1-1/2” deep.
Vintage 29” full size 1960s pennant. This item is in very appealing condition with intact tassels. It bears a full, bold appliqué featuring team mascot “Mr. Red” zooming out of Crosley Field next the words "Cincinnati Reds" which appear in full white lettering on a crisp red background.
1984 Decathlon Sports Prints Series framed print. This is print #485/500 titled “The Achievements of the Reds Stars of the Fifties”. It features depictions of Reds’ stars Bailey, Bell, Kluszewski & McMillan along with their facsimile signatures. Both the print and the black frame are in beautiful, like new condition. The frame measures 19x25.
