Proudly carrying the torch passed down by his tragically felled father, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. wore this “Simpson” body suit as he contended for the Sprint Cup Series title in 2008. Worn as he raced in the NASCAR Sprint All-Star non-points exhibition at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 17, this flame-resistant Nomex garment features sponsor ad logos sewn throughout, with the most prominent being “National Guard.” The long-sleeve black and gray apparel features a zippered front and Earnhardt’s familiar angled “88” sewn atop the back. Within the Velcro-lined belt, a “Hendrick Motorsports” decal has a numeric code. The item shows appropriate single-event wear.
