Assigned to design Hartland Plastics’ answer to their successful Western Frontier statues, artist Frank Fulop studied and sketched baseball’s marquee players at Milwaukee’s County Stadium and Chicago’s Comiskey Park. The result was an incredibly popular baseball issue, from which (9) original plastic figurines have survived to comprise this lot. The expertly crafted pieces present beautifully and include: 1958: Mantle, Ruth and Spahn; 1960: Aparicio, Banks, Berra, Drysdale, Musial and T. Williams (with original box). More on our website.
As mentioned in the catalog description, these pieces present beautifully and include bat accessories for Banks, Mantle, Musial, Ruth and T. Williams, as well as a catcher’s mask with the Berra statue. The lone exception in terms of condition is the Spahn statue which, while complete, has endured fading to the “Braves” on the front of the jersey.
The Ted Williams original box is complete, though there is a small tear on the top flap.
