Description

Detailing football in its most archaic stages, these vintage published pieces include complete periodicals and neatly culled pages from publications spanning 1881 through 1925. Showcasing verbose text accounts and period photography, highlights include: 1916 The Independent a Harper’s Weekly complete magazine with a cover story entitled “The Big Game” (magazine is complete, though has two holes to facilitate previous storage); 1911 Collier’s Weekly Princeton-Harvard first football game photographed from an aeroplane (page 15).
