Description

A New York City preps legend and Harlem Globetrotters icon, former guard Ron Jackson enjoyed a career packed with milestones and memories, a few of which are presented in this collection of personal artifacts. Highlights include: 1967 Holcombe Rucker Trophy Plaque: a 12x15 wooden plaque with a plate engraved “Schaefer Beer – Holcombe Rucker Professional Basketball Tournament All Star Game” with a steel mythical goddess figurine standing atop a protruding platform; NYC Legends Award: a 9x12 wooden plaque presented to Jackson in 1994. More on our website.

Note: the Holcombe Rucker trophy plaque mentioned in our catalog description is complete, though there is wear/minor chips on the wooden plaque and the threads on the screw mounting the trophy have been stripped. Additional awards include:

1998 Rucker Professionals Hall of Fame Plaque a 9x12 wooden plaque with an affixed plate whose text details Rucker’s achievements and resultant induction into the Rucker Professionals Hall of Fame as a member of the Harlem Globetrotters. The plaque shows wear on all four corners.

2001 Rucker Professionals Hall of Fame Plaque a 9x12 wooden plaque with an affixed plate honoring “Ron Jackson – Player”

2002 Rucker Professionals Hall of Fame Plaque a 12 x 15 wooden plaque with an affixed plate whose text details Jackson’s induction to the Hall of Fame named after the famed New York City playground director.

Additionally, there are (20-plus) vintage photographs of Globetrotters players (mostly at post-career reunions), as well as a 1976 team-issued 3-1/2 x 5” black-and-white photo signed by Curly Neal and a 1967 Globetrotters program (presents FR with detached covers).
